Sourced from the Coombsville AVA, one of the coolest regions in the Napa Valley. The cool weather allows the grapes more time to hang on the vine, resulting in an elegant, and complex Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines struggle to grow in weak volcanic soils, yielding small berried, tannic grapes with great acidity. This wine displays pure, transparent notes of cherry, cranberry, menthol, flint, tobacco and coffee. Two years of aging in French oak barrels helps soften the tannins and gain complexity.
